Our 1st edition


This first edition focuses on the issue of prevention as one of the most effective ways to fight against cancer.



The objectives of the organization of these conferences are to create a forum for exchange and consultation between the different actors in the cancer control chain, namely the Ministry of Public Health and the private sector, to capitalize the experiences of African countries involved in this fight, to contribute to the improvement of prevention and awareness-raising techniques already in place, to develop the networking of researchers and international scientific cooperation, to initiate avenues of research with a view to solutions adapted to the context of developing countries; and finally, to make decision-making tools available to decision-makers and health managers..

Les principaux thèmes traités de la 1ère édition seront :



  • Prediction of prognosis and identification of individuals at increased risk of cervical and prostate cancer;
  • Education and communication about cervical cancer and prostate cancer;
  • Screening technologies and diagnostic markers;
  • Prevention research (eg, lifestyle and nutritional factors), including individual and community interventions;
  • Methods for assessing the impact of better prevention: techniques, environmental indicators;
  • Access to health care, including primary care and screening services;
  • Impact and contribution of pan-African and governmental collaboration with the private sector (NGOs, Associations, Foundations, Hospitals, etc.) ;
  • Vaccination as a large-scale prevention technique ;
  • Solutions tracks and networking

About the Organization


The conference will be held in the Boboto Cultural Center which is located on the Père Boka Avenue no. 7, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Audience: 500 pax / Entrance by invitation only: Public figures, economic actors, medical students, medical staff, partners and potential donors.
