› Who are we ?
« Bomoko » which means unity or united in Lingala, in the national language of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is the name we have designated for this non-profit association that brings together the Congolese in the preventive fight against cancer.

In our country, according to the Ministry of Health, in 2008, nearly 44% of deaths recorded in hospitals in the DRC were due to cancer. In 2017, we find bitterly that this steady increase in prevalence relates to chronic non-transmittable diseases among which cancer takes a large place, if not the first. It is in this context that we focus on 5 most recurrent types of cancer: breast cancer, cervical cancer, prostate cancer, colon cancer and leukemia for children. What motivated the birth of this foundation is the lack of information related to the disease which has serious consequences in our society but also, the considerable delays shown by Africa in the face of access to effective and rapid management of Patients. Established in 2017, our head office is based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo but now includes extensions that serve as a representative office in Brussels and Johannesburg.
