The Story of Mama Betty - Breast Cancer
Mama Betty is a Congolese woman living in Kinshasa where she raises alone her 4
children. Having learned that she had breast cancer in 2014, she went to a
hospital of the place to receive his treatments; it was a breast removal
and a series of chemotherapy and radiotherapy she was to follow until 2015
- something that was not done, lack of means not sufficient at the time against the
heavy bills.
In 2015, she feels some symptoms that she tried to ignore and calm by
self-medication but without success, his health deteriorated. As a solution
alternative, she went to consult the traditional healers (which is common practice in
DRC) who will prescribe treatment that has failed and provoked
pain in the other breast.
Desperate and lacking in financial resources, she heard about the
Bomoko Foundation well before following a television intervention on their
counseling and assistance to the sick. She made an appointment and
automatically, she was able to see a doctor so that she could redo the
diagnostic examinations, these examinations were exceptionally supported by
the Foundation given the urgency and the particularity of its case.
There is a problem, that of the financing of his treatment which should
start as soon as possible to relieve your pain and save your life.
We need you to make this possible through your donations and assistance.
